Kuya Jo, looks like you can read my thoughts when I wrote this one. And you're right...I'm learning through the complicated and inevitable process called life.

Francis, remember the turtle and the hare and just like the PAL slogan, "Its all about the experience". We need to learn from our experiences, only then can we achieve true success. I remember the CEO of my former company said that if he had given up on his numerous failures, he would not have been in the position he was in that day. He said it took him several tries before the outcome was what he wanted. Learn from everything that life gives you.

You've "invaded" the Ilonggo "republic" for your summer pala.

Very nice pictures!
It reminds of me my bacolod trip that always starts and end where else but in Calea

Hi Kuya Jo, kumusta? I wanted to post this because I need to be reminded constantly. And I agree with you. We really need a support system - which you named already. I went to Bohol last Feb out of stress. But I realized that the scenery will be truly enjoyed when shared with your family or friends. So the next time I went there, I was with two friends. Hopefully I can bring my family next time. See, my coping mechanism comes with a price! Last year was more pricey (and more risky) because I had to deal with higher level of stress.

Hi Francis. hehe.. I got 8 out of the 11. I learned a long time ago that successfully coping with problems and resolving those problems starts with oneself. It is important to have the support and foundation of your family, friends and God (in no particular order :-)) to get you through. It is also nice to have a sanctuary like Bohol to go an visit and get your mind at ease. More expensive than Stresstabs, but it brings results that are more lasting.

Yeah kuya 'cis! Troubles and worries are part of our lives. Whether they are HUGE problems or not, it doesn’t matter, what’s important is how we deal with them. Will we face them bravely or back off and avoid reality? Will we take them with a light or heavy heart?

Life is God’s gift,
It is so precious and too short to be wasted…
Each moment spent in misery is a moment lost of happiness.
Greet the world with a smile, and everything will turn out right.

As from a line on my favorite poem (Desiderata):
With all its sham,
drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

Wow, this is classic Francis. I remember listening to one of my favorite speakers, and he posed some of the questions you listed. One of the 'remedies' he mentioned was to look at appreciation and application. We realize how precious life, time and relationships are, but it is how we act upon our daily struggles that bring us closer to the truth. Stay strong Francis. Keep up the good work.
