A few weekends ago, we headed off for some fresh air in Sheffield Park, a National Trust site near where we live. Spring was very much in evidence although the sky was moody and made for some very dramatic photography, and I thought I’d share some of my favourite shots of the outing.
Flowers bloomed…
Ducks were harassed by drakes…
…and promptly took off! I’m absolutely jazzed that I caught that little kerfuffle on camera. We wandered through the trees for a little forest-bathing…
…and stopped for a hot chocolate.
And of course, we had to try out the barbecue! This was when we were still technically in lockdown, so the tearooms were shut, but the National Trust can always be counted on to provide refreshment 😉. This was such a lovely thing to do to get used to being around people before society properly opened up again, and I’m on the lookout for more picturesque places in the UK for the summer!
