The old town of Córdoba is stuffed full of gorgeous old buildings in ice-cream
1, 5, 7, 12 – Cabildo building. This is the colonial town hall, completed in 1786. The city government was moved out of the Cabildo building in the late 19th century, though a branch of the city police remained. During the Dirty War in the 1970s, this building was used as a detention centre.

9, 11, 14 – Historic Museum of the National University of Córdoba, colonial campus. This is housed in a block of 17th-century buildings called the Manzana Jesuitica, or Jesuit Block. It still functions as part of the university, which, along with the University of Buenos Aires, is one of the biggest in Argentina. This museum is home to a library of very beautiful old books, scripts
